| Description: | Berks Visiting Nurse Association is currently seeking a Registered Professional Nurse - Infusion to perform nursing services requiring the application of the biological, physical, and social sciences, and nursing skills in the care of the sick, the prevention of the disease, and the conservation of health Monday through Friday 2pm to 10pm. The Infusion RN functions under the supervision of the Clinical Manager and supervise the care plan when LPN’s and Home Health Aides are providing services to the client. You will also be responsible to provide skilled nursing care to clients requiring intermittent professional nursing service in a community health setting in accordance with Corporation procedures and policies utilizing the nursing process; this includes performing a complete health assessment, effectively analyzing situations, developing goals and Plans of Care, and advocating for the client in obtaining needed services. You will also be responsible to plan with family, physician and interdisciplinary team appropriate care that is feasible within the resources of the family; observe, evaluate and report to the physician any changes in the client’s condition; review all medication or identify possible ineffective drug therapy or adverse reactions; and provide coordination of services within the guidelines of the Plan of Care with other disciplines and the infusion therapy. Also required is the ability to demonstrate cooperation with the Manager and staff colleagues by identifying the caseload for the day, adjusting schedules to accommodate work, keeping managers informed of major changes in clients, assessing client’s home situation, and mobilizing community resources for protected services to neglected children and the aged. REQUIREMENTS Interested candidates must be a graduate of a State accredited Nursing Program and have a valid license to practice nursing in the State of Pennsylvania. Completion of minimum 2 years in medical/surgical nursing including infusion therapy required, as well as a minimum of 2 years of infusion therapy experience in the past three years, and current Cardiopulmonary resuscitation certificate required. You must have a valid Pennsylvania Driver’s license, automobile insurance, available automobile during working hours and able to drive in all types of weather, and be able to stand, walk, sit and lift without weight restriction. Must be able to stand, walk, sit, lift without weight restrictions, relate to others, write, speak, make independent judgments, listen and use visual acuity and finger dexterity.
