Intravenous (IV) therapy provides comfort and healing to our BVNA clients with the opportunity to receive care in the privacy of their own home. Our nurses are highly skilled not only at providing IV Therapy, but also in teaching patients and families how to manage their IV. Berks VNA’s services include IV therapies such as antibiotics, hydration, pain control, some chemotherapies, total parenteral nutrition (TPN), IVIG, IV Solumedrol, as well as other therapies. It can be prescribed by a physician to a client already at home or upon discharge from a hospital or rehabilitation center.
