Holistic, Compassionate Care.
Hospice Care is the specialized comfort care provided to the terminally ill. It is a holistic, patient-centered approach which includes physical, spiritual, and psychosocial care and support for both the patient and family.
Care is provided for a wide variety of disease processes in many different community settings such as homes, skilled care nursing facilities and hospitals. The Hospice Team is made up of caring and compassionate nurses, social workers, a spiritual counselor, home health caregivers, and dedicated volunteers, and includes the assistance of other Berks VNA services when necessary.
Berks VNA also provides bereavement support for 13 months after your loved one has passed away. We understand that grieving is a process, and you don’t have to go through it alone. Families have the option to speak one on one with our spiritual counselor, attend support group meetings, or participate in special events in memory of loved ones.
“The nurse who came to the hospital was great and provided excellent guidance during the last days of my mother’s life.”
